What it takes to compete nationally: Athletes must qualify for these championships by placing in the top tier at regional and district meets throughout the season. Qualification standards are demanding, and simply making it to nationals represents months of dedicated training and competitive excellence. Many athletes compete at district and regional levels for years before earning their first national qualification.
