BUILDING ELITE COMPETITORSMaryland Blaze Track Club develops youth athletes for elite competition at Junior Olympics, national championships, and premier meets like the Millrose Games. As a USATF and AAU-sanctioned 501(c)3 nonprofit, we provide expert coaching, structured training progression, and year-round competition opportunities across outdoor, indoor, and cross country seasons.
Beyond developing speed and strength, we build discipline, work ethic, and character that carry into every part of life. Maryland Blaze creates an environment where young athletes grow as both competitors and people, learning skills on the track that translate to success in the classroom and beyond. |
EXPERT COACHING, SPECIALIZED TRAININGTraining at Maryland Blaze means learning from USATF-certified coaches who specialize in specific event disciplines. Coaches hold USATF Level 1 & 2 certifications, with additional credentials in Safe Sport, CPR, and First Aid. Our coaching staff includes specialists in sprints, endurance, jumps, and throws - giving athletes access to expert instruction in every event. We emphasize technical fundamentals and age-appropriate training that builds a foundation for long-term athletic development.

SCHOLARS AND ATHLETESTrack and field teaches discipline, time management, and goal-setting - skills that translate directly to academic success. Maryland Blaze athletes are students first, and many maintain honor roll status while training and competing at elite levels. We encourage the same dedication in the classroom that we demand on the track

COMMUNITY COMMITMENTMaryland Blaze gives back to our region through youth track clinics and partnerships with local recreation programs. We believe in developing the sport from the grassroots up, introducing novice athletes to track and field and creating pathways for those who want to compete at higher levels. Our partnerships with MedStar Health and local organizations ensure athletes have the support they need both on and off the track.
